FRESNAY MILL WATER GARDEN
Created in 1993 with a wooden bridge and canals, the garden features 12,000 aquatic plants from all over the world.
Discover this haven of peace in the Charentonne Valley. Located just a stone’s throw from the Pays des Maisons, the water garden, a former swamp, allows you to walk across wooden bridges and through canals and to learn about 12,000 aquatic plants from all over the world. The garden, created in 1993, is organised by themes. The peninsula forms the Jardin de la Charentonne, resembling a marsh overgrown with its zandalar, bulrushes, and other landscaped papyrus. The botanical island, on the other hand, bordered by a covering of poplar, willow, and alder, surrounded by perennials and flowers, hosts more exotic species including several varieties of bamboo. Do not delay in discovering this magical place for a walk in the water environment...
