Restaurant of traditional cuisine, with original flavours, in Évreux.
The beautiful dining room of the restaurant, with its timber frames and mastic walls, goes well with the tasty cuisine of the chef, the earthy Xavier Buzieux, who showcases the terroir. Hake white, pattypan squash, grilled sesame, shellfish emulsion, or gurnard fillets, maraichère de légumes, or even guinea fowl supreme, smoked pumpkin, arabica juice, so many dishes elegantly prepared, combining traditional flavours and original touches. A wide choice of homemade bread rolls and a beautiful wine list are also spotlighted. La Gazette is renowned as one of the best restaurants in the department. This cuisine remains affordable with the lunch formula. And the chef has several strings to his bow: he also teaches cooking classes and runs a carefully curated shop selling hand-picked local products, such as the calvados caramels from Château de Breuil or the duck rillettes of Mme Juin. To taste without hesitation!
