ABBEY CHURCH OF SAINT-TAURIN
The building combines different architectural styles and boasts a superb Gothic choir.
This abbey church was founded in the 10th century by Richard the Fearless, Duke of Normandy, on the presumed burial site of Saint Taurin, known as the first evangelizing bishop of Évreux. Altered several times, the building combines different architectural styles, with a superb Gothic choir, a sumptuous collection of stained glass from the 15th to the 20th centuries, some remarkable statues from the 15th and 16th centuries, and elements of Romanesque architecture.
