ANGEL'S HOUSE
Place at the top of Rue Henri IV. Legend has it that he would have slept in this house on the night of the Battle of Ivry.
The old centre of Ivry offers a maze of beautiful half-timbered houses. Situated at the top of the rue Henri IV, the one called the Angel is a carved half-timbered building dating from the 16th century. A statuette of Saint Martin can be seen on the central console. Another sculpture can be seen on the right console (the one on the left has disappeared). Legend has it that Henri IV would have slept in this house on the evening of the battle of Ivry... Some people therefore call it the house of Henri IV, or House of the Angel.
