ATELIERS DU BEC
Upon the resumption of the Bec Abbey in 1948, the Community developed an artisanal production of earthenware. The Bec workshops, located in the former stables of the Abbey, were created a few years later in 1957. All stages of the ceramic manufacturing chain are carried out on-site, from the creation of the models and the manufacture of the various molds in plaster until the final cooking, enamelling, and decoration, by hand, of course. Production focuses primarily on the table arts: plates, ravier dishes, bowls, shells, and bowls with traditional flowers (custom on request). Smart idea: These dishes are in a range of modern and warm colours, to be consumed without moderation! The production of the 16 monks is on sale at the monastery shop and online on the website.
