A sumptuous palace located in Le Neubourg, renovated by the decorator Jacques Garcia.

Taking its name from a clash in 935 between the armies of the Count of Cotentin and those of Guillaume Longue-Épée, the site saw the construction of the residence of the Count of Créqui in 1651. The palace has been purchased and renovated since 1990. The result of this titanic project is a Versailles-like setting! In just a few years, it has resurrected Champ de Bataille and its princely splendors, delivering a succession of richly decorated salons, galleries, libraries and rooms.

We visited the chateau this month to plan a visit for a classic car tour which we are organising for September. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful and allowed us to view the extensive grounds. We were absolutely blown away by the magnificence and scale of the gardens and we know that this will prove to be the highlight of our car tour. We are greatly looking forward to visiting again in September.

Voilà un homme, Mr Garcia, qui a mis sa réussite sociale, son talent et son imagination au service d'un patrimoine unique qu'est ce chateau du champ de bataille, il l'a sauvé de l'oubli.

Nous sommes en avril et malgré ce temps incertain de giboulées nous avons découvert ce parc en famille pour les 80 ans de mamie.
Une pause planche de charcuterie parfaite avec un service des plus avenant.
On notera les magnifiques robes portées par les guides de ce château.
Bref une journée qui nous a fait remonté dans le temps, dans un cadre des plus original.
Merci à vous, nous reviendrons en plein été c'est sûr ????
