SAINT-SAUVEUR CHURCH
Gothic-style church built in 1202, where on the overmantel of the portal, you can admire the statue of St. Saviour holding a globe
This Gothic-style church was built in 1202. During the French Revolution, it was converted into a warehouse. A statue of St. Saviour holding a globe can still be admired on the portal overmantel. Petit-Andely parishioners perpetuate the village’s long-standing wine-growing tradition by hanging a bunch of grapes on this globe during the harvest. Don’t miss the altarpiece from neighbouring Mortemer Abbey, and the oldest working organ in France, built by Robert Ingoult in 1674.
