Castle ruins overlooking the Seine, offering a view of the river, medieval games, and re-enacted camps.

Overlooking the Seine, the ruins of Château Gaillard bear witness to the past of one of the region’s most famous fortresses and offer a unique view of the Seine, Petit-Andely, and the cliffs in the distance. Classified as a historic monument since 1862 and listed as a major national site, Château Gaillard has inspired painters, poets, and other contemporary artists. In August, medieval games and re-enacted camps are held here at weekends, as well as workshops for children. Take advantage of the group ticket with the Nicolas Poussin Museum.

En hiver il fait noir vers 17h20, habillez-vous très bien, le temps est très différent du printemps, vous sentirez l'air vraiment fort, soyez prudent au point de vue, je vous conseille de descendre au deuxième parking si vous avez de petits enfants. L'endroit est magnifique, mais cette année je l'ai vu un peu plus négligé qu'il y a 2 ans.
