Museum in Louvriers with a fine collection of objects. It features archaeology, local history and contemporary art.
Founded in 1872, the municipal museum has been housed in the courtyard of the town hall since 1888. With an astonishing collection of almost 38,000 objects, it owes its work to donations and bequests. Archaeology, local history and contemporary art are highlighted throughout the visit. You'll discover furniture, earthenware and paintings from the Renaissance. The permanent exhibition, meanwhile, is devoted to the town's past as a cloth-making industry, and gives you the chance to rediscover what it looked like before the bombings of the Second World War.
