Museum housing some 15,000 works covering a period from the to the century.
Located in the heart of Pont-Audemer, the family home of Alfred Canel (1803-1879), writer, scholar, and local politician, as well as an early archaeologist and lawyer, has been home to the Musée Cantonal since 1884. Manuscripts, incunabula, and emblematic books... the great 19th-century library is brimming with historical gems. It comprises some 15,000 works covering a period from the 15th to the 19th century. In addition, there are 6,000 volumes from the Norman library, bequeathed by Alfred Canel. A wonderful stopover in this charming town!
