SAN MARTIN CHURCH
This parish church, given in 1178 to the Abbey of Le Bec, dates back to the 12th century for its oldest parts (i. e. the bases of the buttresses on the western façade and part of the bell tower). The portal was built in the 14th century, the choir in the 15th century, the nave in the 17th century and the sacristy in 1729. It was restored in 2002 under the direction of Yves Brabant, architect of the buildings of France. The church, surrounded by the cemetery where there is a calvary, is located just next to the elegant town hall, a former presbytery built in 1778.
Child of the country. Robert de Croismare (1445-1493), priest of Rougemontiers, became Archbishop of Rouen between 1483 and 1493.
