MAY BUSH CASTLE
Castle in a wooded park, used as a hideout for resistance fighters in 1944 before being a private property, guided tour on site
Set in superb wooded grounds, the château was once a vacation camp before becoming an English military hospital. Listed as a Monument Historique since 1994, it is said to have served as a hideout for Resistance fighters in 1944, before becoming private property. A restoration program was launched in 1999 to return it to its original splendor. In addition to guided tours, the monument is open for events such as the Journées du Patrimoine and the Rendez-vous aux Jardins.
