MAY BUSH CASTLE
Neo-classical castle built around 1760-1771 and having known various functions, often hosts exhibitions
The castle of Le Buisson de May, of the neoclassical type, is also called Buisson d'Osmoy or Buisson d'Aumoy, and was built around 1760-1770. It consists of a square flanked by four square towers, placed at the heart of two hemicycles and two perspectives traced in the 18th century. A holiday camp, a hospital, it was also used as a hiding place by groups of resistance fighters. Since 1994, it has been classified as a Historic Monument. As you enter the castle, you will be able to follow the restoration work in progress or those already undertaken since 1999 by its owners. It regularly hosts exhibitions, and is open for heritage days.
