LA MAISON BARON
The honey producers, Isabelle and Didier Chantillon, offer a small shop, open to the public and equipped with educational panels explaining the work of bees, in their workshop. Directly from the producer to the consumer, five types of honey are harvested from ten apiaries located in two different places:
in the countryside, giving spring honey (first honey harvested at the end of April: apple, canola), and all-flower honey (harvested around mid-August).
in the forest, giving chestnut honey (harvested immediately after the chestnut trees are in bloom), bramble honey (excellent for sore throats), and finally forest honey.
You will also have the choice between beeswax candles, honey soap (made by a professional soap maker with the honey of the property), homemade gingerbread, homemade jams with the fruits of the estate, as well as their vegetable production, depending on the season: pumpkins, salads, leeks, carrots, beans, tomatoes, celery.
