ST-LAWRENCE SPRING
Leaving the village of Selles by the Pont-Audemer road, we reach the end of a small road to a statue of Saint-Laurent, patron saint of the town, which is the subject of a local cult, and to a spring renowned for curing skin diseases. Tradition has it that a cloth is dipped in this source and then, after applying it to the sick part, it is hung on a branch of the handkerchief tree with a prayer to Saint-Laurent. Nearby, there is also a lovely wash-house and further along the road, route de la Drouerie, you can take a refreshing break at the Barbotte fountain, between the woods and the forest.
Chemin de Saint-Laurent (10 km): back to the town hall, take chemin de la Cavée and follow the yellow markings.
