This superb Italian-style residence is furnished with paintings and tapestries acquired by the Albuféra family.
It was once known as the Little Versailles. Built in 1723 by the Duc de Belle-Isle, it was home to a succession of kings, marquises, and barons. Of this original château remain the magnificent stables, built by the architect Coutant d’Ivry in 1740, and above all the English-style park, which evokes its former splendour: Neptune and Gribouille fountains, water staircase, dolphin basin... The current building dates from 1858, a superb Italian-style residence, furnished with paintings and tapestries, acquired by the Albuféra family, who still own the château.
