The Beurre Hall, of typical Norman architecture, was built on the location of the former hamlet, a th century building with still some remains. Under the entrance hall, on the right-hand side of the wall, with inscriptions in old French, the stone is the one appearing in the pediment of the hamlet. The interior, which once was the courtroom, shows the effigy of two lions and of the Latin inscriptions drawn from the Old Testament. In the basement we find the prisons with their seal rings, and the walls still bear a few «testimonies» engraved by detainees…
