ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE
The collegiate church of Saint-Michel, with its fine sandstone and flint bonding, in Blainville-Crevon.
In 1488, Jean d'Estouteville, lord of Torcy and Blainville, concerned about his salvation, had this church built to establish a college of twelve canons. Topped by a bell tower with an elegant lead crown, this building has a beautiful sandstone and flint bond. Inside, the choir is decorated with wooden stalls, sculpted with original 15th century mercies. Among the beautiful statues of the church, the transept shelters the one of the archangel Saint Michel, life size, dating from the end of the 15th century.
