CHAPEL OF ST. ANNE
Chapel with brick and flint pediment, moucharabieh-like mesh and frescoes by Rouen artist Paul Baudoüin
It will surprise you as you leave Bolbec in the direction of the Vivier de Fontaine, with its pediment of bricks and flint, and its mashrabiya style mesh surmounted by a motto in gold mosaic: "Venite ad me omnes qui laboratis et ego reficiam" (Come to me, all you who are tired from work, I will rest you), an invitation to the workers to come and find rest. It was Louis Desgenétais, a textile master in Bolbec, who had it raised in 1902. Inside, the frescoes are by the Rouen artist Paul Baudoüin.
