SAN MARTIN CHURCH
The church of Saint-Martin, located in Cany-Barville, presents a great variety of colors of a beautiful gaiety and a statue.
Destroyed three times, first by the English in 1415, then by Dieppois Protestants in 1562 and 1589, the church was rebuilt in the late 16th century and frequently restored since. Despite its name, it is not Saint-Martin but Saint Adrien who watches over the inhabitants. Legend has it that his polychrome wooden statue saved the village from plague and cholera. The church's sober sandstone exterior doesn't give away the fact that its interior features a wide variety of colors, giving it a cheerful air. A must-see!
