OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH
The first church was built in the 11th century in the Romanesque style. We can still see the bell tower, the only preserved part of this period. History has marked the building and various buildings have been devastated until its final completion in 1848. The west east axis has been turned upside down in the construction we see today, the porch is where the choir was and vice versa. Magnificent and gigantic clams welcome the faithful. The two stained glass windows framing the porch, inserted in Gothic windows, are also survivors: one represents the baptism of Christ by Saint John the Baptist and the other Christ carrying a lamb on his shoulders. Their composition and the palette of their colours are reminiscent of those of the two stained glass windows in Notre-Dame du Havre Cathedral.
