Put on your rollerblades, helmets and protective gear, and come and discover this original, even madcap sport that’s all about respect. The atmosphere is gothic, punk, rock and gore, as evidenced by the names of the teams: the Croque-Morts, the Faucheuses and the Veuves Noires. Derby calls for technique, commitment, speed, fighting spirit and team spirit, like rugby on wheels on Halloween night. Women make up the majority of the membership, but the club also has a men’s team and welcomes rookies from the age of eight.
