ATELIER COLETTE
In a city that has experienced its hours of glory thanks to ivory, a last Ivorian workshop remains. Under Louis XIV, 300 craftsmen created works of breathtaking finesse. Today, it is in the Annick Colette workshop that we have to go back to this endangered know-how. The only woman in the profession and fifth generation of a family of Ivorian people since 1850, she will gladly tell you the fascinating history of the Dieppeis, while sculpting before your eyes. Her specialty? The statues of Polletais, these brave Dieppeis, but also angels, animals… A tradition is that we offer ivory objects to certain parties to bring happiness.
