Church in Dieppe with a choir, nave, and side aisles dating from the 13th century, mixing Gothic and Renaissance styles

Built in 1282 by Guillaume de Flavacourt, Archbishop of Rouen, this imposing building houses a choir, nave, and aisles dating back to the 13th century and blends the Gothic and Renaissance styles. Inspired by Victor Hugo and other artists, the Church of St. Jacques is in Dieppe. Its rich history is due in particular to its patron Jehan Castle who wanted to represent artistically, among other things, scenes of the life of the indigenous people.

Eglise magnifique qu'on ne s'attend pas forcément à trouver dans une petite ville comme Dieppe. Très travaillée, pleine d'ornements, il y a des millions de détails à découvrir. Elle vaut vraiment le détour

A small masterpiece straight from the Middle Ages and one of the two large churches of the city with the Saint-Rémi church. The Scallops church overlooks Place Nationale where the statue of lieutenant-general protestant is Abraham Duquesne who turns your back to him and looks towards the sea. The church Scallops contemplate for several decades the beautiful market on Saturday next to it and it encloses.
