Chapel founded on the site of the former house of the famous shipowner Jehan Ango, one of the reflections of the glorious past of Dieppe
The Henri-IV quay has a significant number of traces of the glorious past of the city, including this chapel built on the location of the old house of Jehan Castle, the famous shipowner, of which there are only the cellars. It was in 1614 that it passed through the hands of the fathers of the oratory. The nuns, in charge of building the structure, added a college where they educated generations of Dieppois. The chapel burned twice: the first time in 1694 and the second in 1941. The college and the facade, with a classic design, were built after the fire of 1694.
