Square with a remarkable well, an emblematic element of the city, the "Café des Tribunaux" and many stores in Dieppe.
This is probably the best-known place in Dieppe. Located in the heart of the pedestrian street and its many shops, its well is an emblematic element of the city. Designed by the architect Fernand Miellot, it has been replacing the former fountain of the Well-Salé since 1930, from which in 1558 the long-awaited water of the spring Saint-Aubin was discovered. There is also the imposing "Café des Tribunaux", which dates back to the 1920s, in pure neo-Norman style. This place, which has actually existed since 1709, has been a coffee shop only since the nineteenth century and has hosted for a moment the meetings of the city council after the destruction of the City Hall.
