In June 2014, Éoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT) won the tender launched by the French government for the development of an offshore wind farm off the coast of Dieppe and Le Tréport. Scheduled for commissioning in 2026, this major project for Normandy and the Hauts-de-France region is the concrete expression of a commitment to the success of France's energy transition and contributes to the preservation of the planet, in the midst of the fight against climate disruption. 62 wind turbines will cover the annual consumption of 850,000 people.

Éoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport (EMDT) is planning to build an offshore wind farm 17 km from Dieppe and 15.5 km from Le Tréport . The project, known as the Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farm , will comprise 62 wind turbines, each with an output of 8 MW. With a total capacity of 496 MW, it is expected to generate around 2,000 GWh per year. The wind farm isdue to come on stream by 2026, and will be able to cover the annual electricity consumption of 850,000 people, equivalent to two-thirds of the population of Seine-Maritime, or more than that of the Somme département.
