SAINT-DENIS CHURCH
Parish church dedicated to Saint Denis, it is recognisable by its three gables.
Rebuilt on the ruins of a Merovingian abbey, the parish church dedicated to Saint Denis, Bishop of Paris and martyr, dates in part from the 11th and 12th centuries. This church is recognizable by its three gables and is also distinguished by its composite construction: its main nave of the eleventh century is Romanesque, its Renaissance portal, and it even has four columns of marble coming from an ancient Roman monument. Inside, the stained glass windows have been restored by the master Max Ingrand (one representing the decapitation of Saint-Denis), and the stone and wood statues date from the 14th and 16th centuries. Its bell tower is topped by an arrow spire from the sixteenth century.
