Centre Abbé Pierre in Esteville, housing a temporary exhibition space and a second-hand bookshop.
A man of faith and sharing, Henri Grouès, alias Abbé Pierre (1912-2007), is the founder of the Emmaus movement, which fights against poverty and exclusion. In the 1990s, he took up residence here. We can see his bedroom and office, a museography retracing his life, the chapel where he prayed, and a space for temporary exhibitions. The bookstore offers nearly 20,000 second-hand books. Outside, you will see the murals of the Street Art space inaugurated in 2017.

Un accueil très chaleureux malgré la pluie. Un mur de livres à petit prix. L'histoire de l'abbé présenté. Il y a moyen de faire plaisir en prenant du plaisir.merci pour cette expérience.

La personne à l'accueil très désagréable et méprisante. Je me suis sentie très mal à l'aise, j'étais venue pour acheter des livres, je suis repartie directement.

Un lieu chargé d'histoire et propice au recueillement. Plusieurs manifestations sont organisées par la fondation tout au longe de l'année. Mention spéciale pour la chambre de l'abbé Pierre.
