CASTLE THEATRE
The small 200-seat Italian-style theatre now boasts a rich artistic programme.
This small 200-seat Italian-style theatre is part of the association of the "Historical Theatres of Europe". It was built under Louis Philippe and was originally a storage facility that was converted into a theatre in 1857. The château’s theatre is now Baroque and has a rich artistic programme, ranging from contemporary to traditional. The place is also a film club. If the best way to discover it is to attend one of the many shows offered by the city, do not hesitate to open the doors during the week, as the theatre can also be visited freely, except on performance days. From 1984 to 2002, it was the subject of a prestigious restoration to the identical, thus preserving the authenticity of the decorations and paintings.
