Museum presenting archaeological excavations, funerary urns, collections of the early Middle Ages and objects of adornment.
The Priory Museum is housed in the Hôtel des Portugais, a former inn built in the 15th century. The collections come mainly from archaeological digs carried out on Gallo-Roman sites, and include glassware dating from the 1st to 4th centuries. Collections from the early Middle Ages include weapons from a 6th-century burial site. It's the ideal place to learn about Harfleur's past! The spiral staircase and timber-framed first floor are simply sumptuous.
