LOUIS PAVILION XIII
This pavilion of Vincent-Le-Valiant, in 1633, welcomed the royal couple Louis XIII and Anne of Austria, as well as his court and Cardinal de Richelieu. According to their doctor's advice, the king and the queen drank the water from Forges, renowned for his healing properties, and they decided to come to a cure there. The summer of 1633 was, therefore, a pretext for festivities during which one played the pieces of a still unknown young writer named Pierre Crow. Today, there is a pavilion in the courtyard of Queen Anne of Austria in the courtyard, vaulted cellars and the musketeers. A pity that the building is closed to the public…
