SAINT-MICHEL D'INGOUVILLE CHAPEL
Chapel of the 14th century and of flamboyant Gothic style, with the use of black flint from Cauchois, the barrel vault in broken arch in wood
Ingouville is a village created in the 11th century. In the 14th century, the lord of the place, Jean Mallet de Graville, had the current church built, dedicated to Saint Michel. The family’s arms are carved on the south side, above the porch. Its flamboyant Gothic style is marked by the Cauchois use of black flint in the beautiful buildings of the time. Inside, the barrel vault with a wooden pointed arch is of great beauty. The former high altar was placed on the side. It is the most beautiful chapel in Le Havre.
