CATÈNE DE CONTAINERS
A famous catenary weighing 288 tonnes and with a height of 28.5 metres, designed for the use of containers.
It will surprise you at the bend in boulevards François I and Clémenceau if you get there from the beach or leave the nearby Malraux Museum, with its size and colours standing out above the pool. Inspired by the work of Spanish artist Antoni Gaudí, the famous Catena, created by Vincent Ganivet for the 2017 edition of the now cult festival "Un été au Havre", pays tribute to the use of containers in the "supply chain". Having become the city’s emblem, the installation weighs 288 tons and reaches a height of 28.5 metres. It is a must-see.
