Museum retracing the history and maritime life of Le Tréport, installed in the old prison and the old town hall of the city.

This small museum is installed in the old prison and the old town hall of Le Tréport. Near a vaulted door from 1563, the place presents on five levels of exhibition the history of the city. You will discover the birth of seaside resorts in the 19th and 20th centuries, models of boats, traditional costumes and fishing utensils, pebble collection, marine carpentry, but also shipwrecks and rescues at sea. Through objects, photos and paintings, it is all the maritime life of Le Tréport which is revealed here.

Petit musée d'histoire locale tenu par des bénévoles. Si certaines présentations sentent l'amateurisme et certaines pièces d'artisanat sont d'un goût douteux, le lieu vaut par les bâtiments qui l'abritent et les éléments ayant trait à l'histoire des métiers anciens.

Musée accueillant et intéressant. Le propriétaire et sa fille sont sympathiques et serviables. Prix dérisoire 3e adulte et 1,5e enfant donc à faire absolument. Ils sont passionnés et cela se ressent
