Château de Martainville was built in 1485 for Jacques Le Pelletier. Since 1965, the museum has housed an exceptional collection of Norman objects, taking visitors on a fabulous journey through the history of everyday life. You’ll see the evolution of styles from the 15th to the 19th century, with furniture and clothing linked to the habits and customs of the different "countries". Norman craftsmanship and lifestyles take centre stage. The site organises temporary exhibitions and events.

J'ai adoré la visite à ce château, il est très harmonieux d'extérieur et abrite un musée très intéressant en son intérieur. Il y a des reconstitutions d'intérieurs de differentes zones de la Haute Normandie, paysans comme nobles, avec de belles collections d'armoires, vêtements, costumes et instruments de musique. L'accueil à été très agréable. Il vaut vraiment le détour.

Magnificent visit this restored and renovated castle; the many collections, are presented and documented. One made a informative visit most interesting. It is a place not to be missed in the area for locals and tourists. A very pleasant moment rich in discoveries. To enjoy during a uncertain weather!
