The history of this château dates back to the 11th century, during the reign of the Dukes of Normandy. Situated on a hill overlooking the Seine, the site had a strategic position. Demolished several times, it was partly rebuilt in 1905 by Lucien Lefort and listed in 1935. It was then taken over by the Metropole, which launched a vast redevelopment plan to reopen its doors to the public. Visits and events are now organized for young and old alike.
