The Maharaja is the first Indian restaurant in Haute-Normandie, located in the antique area of Antiaires since 1987. Since then, many other establishments have settled in downtown Rouen to present the Indian and Pakistani culinary traditions to the Norman people. Gueguen and his team offer you typical specialties, including Vindaloo lamb (spicy lamb curry), the famous Massala chicken (marinated in different spices, tomato sauce and troubleshooting) and all kinds of fragrant vegetable curry. Accompany all with a naan (traditional bread) with cheese, vegetables or just plain, and you will be delighted!

Plutôt bon, sans plus. Mais très cher pour ce que c'est ! Surtout que contrairement à la plupart des restaurants indiens, les plats ne sont absolument pas copieux. Pour le coup ne pensez pas à prendre un plat pour 2.
Sinon, la déco est bien pensée.
Petit bémol niveau ambiance : la playlist de chansons de Noël qui tourne.. En avril.

La nourriture était bonne et le service attentif. Cependant, les entrées n'étaient pas très appétissantes. Ce qui est dommage. C'est pourquoi il n'est que satisfaisant. Sur le plan visuel, on peut faire mieux dans les assiettes.

Très cher pour ce que c est. Malheureusement les plats sont fades, sans goût ce n est pas ce que l on attend de ce genre de cuisine. C est excessivement cher 18 à 20 euros un plat. Verre de vin au pichet à 7euros c est élevé sans savoir ce que l on va boire.
C est dommage. Je préfère nettement mon restau indien habituel du vieux marché.

Un véritable régal . Restaurant décoré avec soin. Le personnel est très agréable et au petit soin pour ses clients. Le repas, un délice. Depuis des années rien à changer c’est toujours un vrai plaisir de venir au Mahraja. Je recommande vivement.
