Typical specialties, Indian and Pakistani culinary traditions in the first Indian restaurant in Haute-Normandie.

The Maharaja is the first Indian restaurant in Haute-Normandie, located in the antique area of Antiaires since 1987. Since then, many other establishments have settled in downtown Rouen to present the Indian and Pakistani culinary traditions to the Norman people. Gueguen and his team offer you typical specialties, including Vindaloo lamb (spicy lamb curry), the famous Massala chicken (marinated in different spices, tomato sauce and troubleshooting) and all kinds of fragrant vegetable curry. Accompany all with a naan (traditional bread) with cheese, vegetables or just plain, and you will be delighted!

Conclusion : à éviter.

Midday Sunday June 1st, 2014, a warm welcome, waiter smiling and speaking French mall. Attractive but very disappointing menu at €19 on the plate, very small portions but fortunately of quality! Very long service for a dozen guests.
Gault et Millau 2008, this restaurant lives much on its assets, pity!
One of the Indian restaurants Rouen! Exotic decor: music, deco neat, different from the other restaurants of this type. Very friendly welcome and service, smiling. The dishes are excellent and the menu is very provided (dishes with shrimps, chicken, lamb, etc.) as well as tasty naans at reasonable prices.
Large amplitude opening (except every midday Monday). Place to be tried.
