ASSOCIATION VALENTIN HAÜY
This public utility association was founded in 1889 by Maurice de la Sizeranne, who became blind at the age of 9. Its ambition was to support the blind in their struggle for access to culture and professional life. Today, the association continues to fight with and for people who are visually impaired. Its missions: recognising their rights, the development of their daily autonomy, their access to information. In Rouen, the local antenna provides various services. Once a month, the committee's premises arrange for members an aesthetic, paid and professional care session. Think about booking since only four people are cared for per session. Every month, the fans of the dancefloor will be able to embark on the dance dance thanks to the volunteer courses of a non-voyant. At the same time, a library offers books and magazines in braille, films in audiodescription. Computer and Braille training is also available. Information to be taken by telephone or on the website of the rouennaise antenna.
