ST. LAWRENCE CHURCH
The church was built in the early century in the flamboyant Gothic style.
Built in the early 16th century in a flamboyant Gothic style, the Saint-Laurent church was abandoned during the Revolution and transformed to host workshops. It was acquired by the city of Rouen in 1893 when it was in a very poor state of conservation, to house today the splendid Musée Le Secq des Tournelles which contains the most important public collection of old ironwork in the world. A rather original conversion for an ancient church dedicated to the destruction which is now internationally renowned for its approximately 8,000 pieces of great rarity and originality.
