BOURGTHEROULDE HOTEL
A half-Gothic, half-Renaissance hotel built in Rouen in the century to commemorate William II the Red, now a 5-star hotel.
This refined monument, half-Gothic, half-Renaissance, has stood proudly for five centuries in the heart of the city between the parliamentary power district and the port. It conveys the memory of William II le Roux, Lord of Bourgtheroulde, who had it built at the beginning of the 16th century. The building was completed by his son, abbot of Aumale, employed by François I during the negotiation of the Concordat. The episode of the interview of Henri VIII and François I at the Drap d’Or camp was sculpted on the gallery known as "d’Aumale". It is now a five-star hotel.
