THE STAINED GLASS WINDOWS OF THE CHURCH OF SAINTE-JEANNE-D'ARC
These stained-glass windows illustrate the faith of Christians.
They date from the Renaissance (1520-1530) and come from the old Saint-Vincent church, the ruins of which can be seen at the bottom of rue Jeanne d’Arc. Fortunately, they were dismantled before the bombings of the Second World War and buried to be preserved. Reassembled in the present church, these stained glass windows are an illustration of the faith of 16th-century Christians. In addition to scenes from the Bible, they represent legends about Saint Peter, Saint Anne, Saint James, Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Vincent.
