A remarkable museum in Rouen, an important site for natural science, with exhibits from all over the world.

In 1934, the Museum, originally intended to illustrate municipal zoology, botany and pharmacy courses, opened its doors to the public. Since then, it has become an important site for 19th-century natural science, with a collection that today includes 800,000 items from the four corners of the globe. The latest addition, the Americas section, was opened in 2017. Midi-musées, Musée des Tout-Petits, Scientikid, guided tours - there’s something for everyone to discover in this great cabinet of curiosities.

musée superbe tant sur le point architectural que sur la collection animalières très riche, avec des expositions temporaires qui viennent étoffer la visite. parking sous terrain à quelque mètre. une collection bien conservé un plaisir pour les enfants mais également pour les adultes.

Its a free musesum! If you are interested in the species of the world like animals, reptiles and bugs and suchs its worth a visit. Reading natural history encyclopedias were some of the factors that got me into science and engineering when i was a kid. All the kids in the area must experience this kind of museum one in their lifetime.

Un authentique musée d'histoire naturelle, il faut un peu de temps pour faire le tour, l'entrée est gratuite. Un bemol: l'éclairage est insuffisant par endroit, pour les passionnés venir avec la frontale !
