PLACE DE LA ROUGEMARE
Oblong square lined with plane trees and hosting beautiful buildings listed in the heritage inventory, to visit in Rouen.
This place will derive its name from a bloody battle (which would have stained the pool red) that took place in the tenth century. At the time covered fields, it was gradually integrated into the city, between the fifteenth and seventeenth century, where it was mainly used in the horse market. One can find two very representative buildings. Among these, a house with the architectural peculiarities typical of Rouen. A nice and very pretty square. Take the time to observe it.
