WATCH MUSEUM
A fun, interactive way to discover the history of watchmaking in Saint-Nicolas from the early century to the present day.
Tic, tac, tic, tac... Until 1989, Bayard alarm clocks were manufactured in Saint-Nicolas. A sleeper's nightmare! As a tribute to this factory, and to the passing of time, the town of Saint-Nicolas has built this 350 m² museum, where visitors can discover the history of clockmaking from the early 18th century to the present day in a fun and interactive way, thanks to a tour that combines photographs, archives and testimonials from former workers. From domestic clocks (pendulum clocks and alarm clocks) to precision timepieces (chronometers) and time management equipment (time clocks and time clocks), over 600 items are on display.
