An imposing building housing a museum where you can discover the city’s maritime history.

Built in 1540 by Guillaume Ladiré, a shipowner from Saint-Valery-en-Caux, this imposing building houses a museum. Its beautifully carved wooden façade depicts travel scenes. Legend has it that King Henri II was received here by local notables in 1550. Upstairs, discover the town’s maritime history. Downstairs, we talk about the Second World War, which left its mark on the seaside resort. The inner courtyard, with its octagonal tower, staircase and 16th-century gallery, is a marvel. The site hosts temporary exhibitions by artists from Normandy.

Une splendide maison de 1540, classée Monument Historique et centre culturel de la ville (patrimoine local et expositions d'Artistes) sur les quais proche de la Mairie (en face). Tres belles façade sculptée à observer de près.
