Restaurant offering a traditional menu with efficient service in Le Bouscat.
We first pass through the stalls of a small covered market before pushing, at the very end of a corridor, the door of the restaurant. A first room where the large bar counter on one side and guest tables, benches and tables well spaced on the other side dominate. Behind, well hidden, two other pretty bistro rooms with high ceilings. Contemporary paintings adorn stone walls and the kitchen can be seen behind a glass roof. The whole is very pleasant and you feel at ease right away. For the evening aperitif, a menu of tapas (trays, squids, croquetas, fresh knives à la plancha, etc.). Otherwise, a traditional menu (half-cooked foie gras, roasted camembert, beef tartar, rib steaks, plancha salmon, etc.) or one based on the market of the moment and following Christophe's inspiration, the chef like this excellent steak of marinated raw tuna, Japanese snack, crisp vegetables and soya sprouts. For dessert, a red fruit crumble served in a large glass. The service is efficient, the attentive bosses are not lacking in humour and they organise theme evenings from time to time around a dish or football.
