ST. PETER'S CHURCH
Church featuring one of Europe’s largest groups of stained glass windows by master stained glass artist Max Ingrand.
Following the destruction of the previous 18th-century church in 1940, architects Pierre Chirol, Robert Flavigny and Yves Marchand created these astonishingly aesthetic plans, with their circular shape. A gigantic statue of St. Peter invites you to enter, to discover one of Europe's largest stained-glass ensembles (1,046 m²) by master stained-glass artist Max Ingrand, depicting the lives of Norman saints. The campanile rises to 45 m, and four bells chime every hour. Get your free audioguide at the tourist office.
