MUNICIPAL IVORY MUSEUM
The museum houses a rich collection of ivories, the second largest in the department, and also offers Flemish and French paintings.
It is from a rich collection of 18th and 19th-century ivories, donated by Louis Féron, that the Musée municipal des Ivoires d’Yvetot was created. The second-largest museum of its kind in Seine-Maritime after Dieppe, the establishment is located in the same building as the city’s tourist office. In total, you will be able to admire no less than 200 ivory pieces from a wide variety of periods, scattered in four display cases: statuettes, jewellery, decorative objects... The museum also includes a small collection of Flemish and French paintings, earthenware and terracotta objects and superb ceramics. Feel free to equip yourself with an audioguide, a must to learn more about this amazing collection.
